Alright, so there’s this game, right? “The Last Hero: Journey to the Unknown” – what a mouthful, huh? Anyway, Ratalaika Games and Titan Art cooked this one up. It’s one of those 2D wave-based fantasy deals, y’know, in some magical realm. Sounds intense, right? Picture this: Evil Wizard Voidgem – crazy name, by the way – decides, “Hey, let’s steal all the magical relics and unleash terror.” So, boom, you’re the hero propelled into action. Sword, shield, and all that jazz. Hop around 30+ levels like it’s nobody’s business. There’s shiny stuff and big bad bosses too because why the heck not?
Oh, and there’s this image – uh, never mind, visuals are overrated anyway. So, you get this whole analog stick control vibe. Jump with X, attack with Square, defend with Circle – feels like a circus trick! Dash around, choose potions – seriously, potions? Yeah, they help. L2 for special superpowers – because who doesn’t love a bit of magic power boost when tackling massive game bosses?
Coins are a thing too. Gotta love those golden bits dropping from nowhere when you slay monsters. Upgrade time! Power-ups galore with ridiculous names. Hot Meteors anyone? Or maybe Double Shot. Feels like a slot machine, but for game buffs.
Ratalaika loves their trophies. Platinum ones, Cross-Buy – get the game for both PS4 and PS5, ‘cause why not flex two shiny Platinums when you can? Tasks like beating the first boss and unlocking dashes are oddly satisfying. And if you’re lost, there’s always a guide. Not that I’ve ever used one – maybe once… or twice.
Back to this – where was I? Oh, buying stuff at a shop with gems. Those little sparkly things. Buy heart potions, double your coins. Useful little tools if you ask me, especially when games toss challenges your way like there’s no tomorrow. And wow, it’s just $4.99. Kinda feels like a steal for a double whammy on PS4 and PS5.
Oh yeah, disclaimer time – played this on a PS5, thanks to the peeps at Ratalaika Games for hooking me up.
And that’s a wrap, I guess. Game on!
