Hey, so remember that thing back in April about Marvel Rivals doing a summer swimsuit event? It’s finally happening! Mark your calendars for July 18, 2025. Yep, NetEase Games just unveiled some new beach-ready looks for Psylocke and Loki. Not gonna lie, Loki in a speedo with a golden alligator accessory? That’s… something. Psylocke? She’s rocking this “Breezy Butterfly” thing—think translucent meets one-piece. Fashion at its funky finest, or something like that.
There’s pics floating around if you’re curious. Anyway, these outfits drop at ungodly hours like 2:00 UTC or whatever time that translates to—early morning, right? Price? Who knows. Probably cheaper if you buy ’em as a bundle, because of course.
If I’m honest, Loki’s my guy. His new threads might just replace his look from the Season 2 series. Imagine if he had an alligator emote, too? Someone pitch that!
NetEase isn’t stopping at these two. Thor and Luna Snow are also apparently getting in on the fun, sporting looks you’d probably never see ’em in otherwise. Kind of curious if we’ll get any surprise reveals. I have a feeling they’re testing the waters—no pun intended—for future events.
Oh, and it’s not just Marvel, by the way. Street Fighter’s doing something similar. Cammy, Chun-Li, and others are donning swimsuits too. Seems like everyone’s jumping on the summer swimsuit bandwagon.
Switching gears, can I just rant here? Thor. Why’s he still kinda meh in the game? Seriously, when’s the last time he got some love? I was kind of hoping Season 3 would buff him a bit. But nope, nada. Wolverine’s still a menace with that Phoenix team-up, which makes things tough for us Vanguard fans.
Marvel Rivals is free-to-play on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. So, maybe I’ll just mess around with Loki until Thor gets his moment? Who knows what’s next.
