Man, so here’s the scoop — there’s this movie everyone’s buzzing about — The Fantastic Four: First Steps. I swear, these Marvel folks are everywhere, even in Monopoly Go! Yep, they’re teaming up with Scopely and rolling out something huge. Not sure why it matters so much, but it kicks off on July 13, which is a Sunday. Weird choice, right? Or maybe not. Who even keeps track of days anymore?
Anyway, Marvel did one of these crossover things last September too. And now they’re doing it again. No idea why I remembered that, just popped in my head. So, Fantastic Four will strut their stuff around in Monopoly Go’s universe with events, rare collectibles and whatever else they think of — basically transforming the game’s world.
Oh, and get this: Fantastic Racers. Picture this, each of the Fantastic Four in a retro Fantasti-Car. And there’s Herbie, being all, you know, supportive from the sidelines. Dr. Doom gets a special shoutout too — maybe he’s causing trouble, maybe he’s not.
Then there’s this Fantastic Partners thing. You join up with other players, or as they call them, “Tycoons,” to grab Fantasticoins. Sounds kind of epic, honestly. There’s Mister Fantastic stretching around, Invisible Woman doing her thing, and the Human Torch, uh, torching? Plus The Thing. You know, all the usual suspects.
And don’t even get me started on Fantastic Treasures — sounds like a nerdy quest, entering Reed’s lab and digging up Marvel stuff like the Ultimate Nullifier or the Silver Surfer’s board. Been a while since I heard that name.
Deluxe Drop? I think it’s a bunch of Fantastic Four-themed cosmetics to doll up your Tycoon, if that’s your jam. Tokens, emojis, shields, you name it — they’re slapping Fantastic Four designs on everything!
So if you’re reading this before July 13, there’s still an Aqua Partners event going — until that date, anyway. Might be your last chance to dive into that before the superhero stuff hits. Speaking of which, haven’t looked at Monopoly Go in forever? Maybe peep the Monopoly Go Dice Links guide and snag a boost. Why did they pick Monopoly Go for this? Honestly, no clue. Maybe it makes sense to someone out there.
