Alright, so here’s the thing. I stumbled upon this game called Cozy Stitch Puzzle from RedDeerGames — don’t even ask me how, maybe I was just looking for an escape from endless adulting. Seriously though, it’s like the chillest thing ever. Picture this: you’re solving bright, colorful figures and there are 126 of these bad boys. Mind-boggling, right?
Now, they broke these puzzles into categories — 9 of them actually. So you got your Home Huggers, Barnyard Buddies (probably as adorable as they sound), Mystic Mates, Forest Furries, and a bunch of other funky-named crews. Each category throws 14 puzzles your way. They didn’t mess around.
Oh, and here’s a curveball. You get to pick your difficulty. You know when you want things to be super chill, like those lazy Sunday vibes? Go Cozy, where you deal with just 3-5 pieces. Feeling a bit sharper? Slide up to Medium and it’s like 10-25 pieces. Now, if you’re feeling on fire or just like torturing yourself a bit, hit Hard. It’s all mixed up, so no two sessions are the same — replay value, they say. But sometimes I wonder, who even tries that hard?
Anyway — oh, right! The Nintendo Switch, man. So you can either fiddle with those Joy-Con controllers or just get all up in the screen’s face using touchscreen (works great if you’re like me and can’t keep track of tiny controllers). It’s nifty! Slide pieces around with the left stick or rotate them with ZL and ZR. Piece of cake, or maybe not? Depends.
I’m babbling now, almost forgot the whole point. Cozy Stitch Puzzle is already out, and get this — it’s only $6.99. Isn’t that wild? Less than a two-pack of those fancy coffees. If you’re feeling experimental (or just procrastinating), give it a whirl on your Switch. Seriously, it’s the tiny escape you never knew you needed.
And, yeah, a little shoutout to RedDeerGames for providing this gem. It was fun, probably way more than it should’ve been, just don’t ask how many hours I sunk into this thing.
