Earlier today, the big Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 livestream happened. Right on track. Now, if you’re like me, you’re probably just chomping at the bit for those new characters. Yep, they showed them off, and fans are psyched for what’s landing soon in this mega-hit RPG.
The jaw-dropping news, though? We’re getting a Fate/stay night crossover event, folks! They’ve been teasing this collab ever since last August, when Fate/stay night got its shiny English remake. Fast forward nearly a year, and we’re finally on the brink. This is one crossover that’s been baking for a good while.
So, new characters. We’ve got Saber — she’s rolling in as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction character and gets her own banner. And, holy moly, Archer’s coming too! Everyone logging in can snag him for free, which is a rare treat. These beloved Fate characters will be chilling with us until Version 3.6 wraps up, hopefully around November.
Oh, and remember Phainon? That major NPC from Amphoreus? Finally, he’s becoming playable. He’s packing a Physical/Destruction kit and joining his Chrysos Heirs buddies on the battlefield. All these awesome characters will be live in Phase 1, skipping the usual banner slog.
And we’re not stopping there! Toss in SIX rerun banners: Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle — they’re back in Phase 1. Then, Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade make their comebacks in Phase 2. No new characters for this leg, huh? But, considering the lineup, maybe we’re all good, right?
Oh! And the Stellaron Hunters? They’re not left out. Big updates coming for Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade — plus, Firefly gets a snazzy new outfit. Jingliu’s getting a tweak to her kit too. Crossing fingers she doesn’t swap teams, but hey, it might spice things up if she does.
Mark your calendars: Version 3.4 drops July 2nd, and it’s all systems go for a shift to the second banner phase on July 23rd. Want more details? Go check out the livestream VOD—it’s all on display.
Last May, we saw Version 3.3 roll out. Anyone remember that? Hyacine came onboard, while The Herta made a comeback. And, boom — Cipher hit the scene. All happening last week in the second phase, pulling in some old faves too.
Oh, almost forgot! Bit of controversy with a recasting. The Trailblazers, Stelle and Caelus, got new voices after the original actors sided with SAG-AFTRA during their strike. The whole voice actor strike thing is a hot topic, spicing things up on and off-screen. Some lead characters like Dan Heng and Himeko? Their fate’s still sketchy. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how that unfolds, huh?
