So, here we go. Just me, you, and this trip down memory lane with Assassin’s Creed stuff, right? Okay, so, Assassin’s Creed Shadows or whatever—the hype’s kinda faded. Which leaves folks like us stuck, reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Oh, and speaking of nostalgia, remember Assassin’s Creed 2? It came out in 2009. Feels like an eternity ago. PS3 and Xbox 360 days. We were so young, clueless, whatever.
Desmond Miles—I mean, who can forget him? Living out memories of Ezio, trying to… what was it? Understand some ancient civilization and stop the Assassin-Templar chaos? Yeah, those were the times.
How many games followed since then? I lose track. I mean, we had Revelations? Black Flag was pretty dope. And there’s Origins, right? The open-world one. Lately, Shadows hit the floors, and we’re all on edge waiting for that Claws of Awaki thing. Or was that meant for release already? I forget. Anyway, leaks say there’s another game brewing. Not Jade or Hexe. Something new? Mystery, I guess.
Oh, and Reddit’s where the buzz is—it always is, isn’t it? OminousG (whoever they are) threw a curveball. Posted some snapshot of, um, legendary statues from AC2 and just stirred the pot—what was supposed to happen? Could Desmond do more? Fans kinda still feel the sting. Like, missed opportunities, hello?
People mourn Desmond’s story ending, you know. Ubisoft shuffled him out, aiming for an anthology—whatever that means in gaming. Fans wonder about the modern-day storyline. Maybe Ubisoft chickened out from taking creative risks? Playing it safe seemed counterintuitive but, who knows, it happened.
Yeah, there’s more Assassin’s Creed to chew on. Some fan theories are floating—Desmond having an impact still, especially in Hexe? But fans feel burnt by unrealized promises. Kinda sad when creativity gets stale, don’t you think? Unity’s release in 2014 marked a turning point, some claim. Fans hold tight to those pre-Unity days when things were… different? Better? Maybe.
So, what’s next? Is nostalgia enough to carry us, or are we just clinging? Only time will tell, I suppose. Keep your game pads charged.
