Okay, so here’s the thing. They’re taking this game, Fate/EXTRA — which, by the way, was stuck on the PlayStation Portable like forever — and delaying its remake. They promised it was coming in 2025 but now, oops, it’s spring 2006. Yeah, I know, time travel, anyone? Apparently, these folks at Type-Moon Studio BB (who even names these things?) say it’s all about making it super-duper perfect. Quality over punctuality, I suppose.
Anyway, totally worth it because, you know, they gave birth to heavyweight game legends: Nero, the Saber with Roman flair, and Tamano-No-Mae, our foxy Caster with that mythological punch from Japan. Honestly, these characters? They rock. Respect where respect is due, right? However — oh wait, I’m rambling — they’ve also got Japan-only special editions on the Switch and PS5. Catch ’em on the official site if you’re feeling fancy.
Oh, and they’re cooking up Fate/Extra Record for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch whatever-number-they’re-at-now, plus PC on Steam, of course. I have this sneaky feeling they’re sneaking in a version for a Switch 2. Not confirmed yet, but like, doesn’t take a crystal ball to see it.
So, how are we feeling here? Are you ticking off days on your calendar, bummed out by the setback, or just lost in thought on which Servant to pick first? Let’s hear what’s brewing in those minds down below!
