Oh man, the PS Store just tossed out another sale. You know how it is, some gems, some duds. This time, there’s a chance to snag some games for the PS4 and PS5 at up to 75% off. Now, I don’t wanna oversell it—BioWare’s Anthem made the cut, but let’s just say, opinions were… mixed.

### Anthem’s Discount Madness
So, Anthem, the game everyone had such high hopes for, is now 75% off. Once priced at a seemingly reasonable $19.99, it’s now down to a “why not” $4.99. But snag it quick—this offer is vanishing into the digital void on May 22 at 2:59 a.m. ET. Seriously, no snoozing.
Their spiel? Something about team-ups with three other players—because one’s not enough and five’s a crowd, I guess. Choose a javelin exosuit to shape your adventure. Story-wise? It’s supposed to be “gripping,” with matchmaking that’s both “seamless” and “intelligent.” How intelligent is it really? Your guess is as good as mine.

Launched in 2019, the reception was like… trying to enjoy lukewarm coffee. Metacritic gives it a 59, which is kinda like getting a C- in a class where you mostly napped in the back. Our take? We handed it a 7 out of 10, calling it an inconsistent ride. It’s like, at times you’re sky-high, and at others, you’re face-planting into the mud. Man, wanted it to be epic, but it just felt kinda…not BioWare-ish? You get what I mean?
Check this out though—it racked up nominations before it even hit the shelves. Most Wanted Game at the 2018 Golden Joystick Awards, Most Anticipated Game at Gamers’ Choice. It even snagged Best PC Game and Best Action Game at the Game Critics Awards. I guess everyone loves potential, right? Weird how it all happened before anyone actually played it. Classic hype train scenario.
Anyway, if you’ve got a few bucks and a curious mind, maybe give Anthem a whirl. Or don’t. I dunno. Go with your gut.
