Okay, so here’s the thing. Warner Bros. Games just dropped some news that’s kind of neat if you’re into Hogwarts Legacy and also happen to own, or are planning to own, the new Nintendo Switch 2 (whenever that becomes a thing). Now, I know I can’t be the only one who’s always messing with the settings to get the best graphics, right? Like, who doesn’t want their virtual Hogwarts looking fresh?
Anyway, 4Gamer — yeah, those guys — said you can get up to 1440p resolution when you’re all comfy on your couch, big TV and all. And, get this, handheld mode is no slouch either at 1080p. Oh, and it’s all HDR with DLSS magic or whatever. Sounds technical? Yeah, it does. But trust me, it means all the lights and shadows and stuff are going to look crispier. Or at least, that’s what I’m hoping for.
They also mentioned that mouse control thing with the Joy-Con 2. Feels a bit like they’re trying to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks, but hey, maybe you’ll dig it.
Rob Nelson from Avalanche Software got all jazzed up in this video thingy, talking about how they cranked up the graphics to, like, 11. New textures, more characters, fancy lighting – you know, the works. Plus, if you’re into flappy arms movement while casting spells, there you go.
So, here’s the plot: You’re this fifth-year student who rolls into Hogwarts with this rare ability to mess with weird, old magic stuff. Got that? No idea what that’s about, but it sounds rad. Adventure time! And let’s face it, who isn’t down for a bit of mystery solving mixed with potion-brewing and making friends with magical creatures? I mean, trolls and goblins and stuff are obstacles, but that’s part of the charm, right?
Oh, and mark your calendars: June 5, 2025, folks. That’s when you can get your hands on it. I mean, assuming nothing gets delayed, because, well, you know how that goes.
But anyway, back to dreaming about how cool it will be to finally roam Hogwarts with all those new graphics…
