You know, the G in RFN? Yeah, you got it.
Anyway, it’s all-email time since we’ve got a backlog bigger than my laundry pile. James is MIA this week, which means—brace yourself—we might actually get through an episode with some dignity. Jon’s hosting, so expect fewer tangents and more structure. Maybe. Or not. We’ll see.
So, back to Jon’s epic GameStop adventure. You ever get those Pro Memberships? It’s like entering another realm. We chat about that and then—somehow—end up debating which old games should get the Switch 2 glow-up treatment. It’s one of those things you didn’t know you needed in your life.
After our break—no idea why we needed one, probably just tradition—we dive into the grit of F-Zero GX. Ever played it? It’s like voluntarily signing up for torture. But hey, would Nintendo give us new virtual console toys? And what would we do with Princess Peach in today’s world? I mean, apart from the obvious crown-wearing and cake-baking.
Oh, and a little nugget I had to share: Git Gud should really be called Git Gui’d. Want to not crash your vehicle? Know the tracks, genius. Simple but not really.
Anyway, Guillaume Veillette, you know the guy, worked his magic with the editing. And Perry Burkum? His theme song is like the best earworm. Seriously, check out his SoundCloud. Oh, and Connor Strickland gave us that snazzy logo. Up to cool things on his website, probably.
For the finale, Greg picked “Birdman” from Pilotwings 64. Classic. Nostalgia overload, right? Thanks, Nintendo, for that little gem.
