Sure thing! Here it goes:

Okay, so something happened over at Stainless Games. Ben Gunstone, who’s been climbing the ladder since 2022, is now the big boss—yep, CEO. He’s taking over from Patrick Buckland, who’s been running the show since, like, 1994. So, that’s…what, nearly 30 years? Geez. Anyway, Ben started as a game director at Stainless and then shuffled around a bit before landing in operations. Before all this, he was doing stuff over at Dovetail Games. I guess he likes games. Who doesn’t?
So, Ben is all like, “Whoa, I’m so stoked and humbled or whatever.” He’s talking about riding Patrick’s coattails a bit with Patrick sticking around as Executive Chairman. Sounds like a fancy, less stressful job title, honestly. Oh, and there’s a legacy and DNA of making awesome games—don’t ask me what that means, but it sounds intense, right?
Then Patrick jumps back in, saying he’s, uh, turning 62 soon. But wait! He throws this zinger about not looking a day over 70, which—props for the humor, I guess? Anyway, at 62 he’s decided maybe it’s time to let someone else deal with the day-to-day chaos. So now he’s doing this sideways shuffle into the Executive Chairman gig. Means he can keep a hand in things without stressing over spreadsheets or whatever CEOs do all day. Plus, he’s still got a big chunk of the company, which he fondly calls his “baby.”
So, yeah. Changes over there at Stainless. Patrick seems to think Ben’s an alright dude to leave things with, so…onwards, upwards, sidewards—any direction, really. Here’s to hoping they keep cranking out those games.
