Alright, let’s dive right in. So, Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds is shaping up to be something big – like really big. Capcom went all out spilling the beans in their June Spotlight livestream. Not sure why, but one detail stuck with me: they really hammered in the date for this – June 30, right around the corner after a little offline break for maintenance. Maybe it’s ’cause I’ve been craving something fresh in the gaming world, who knows.
Oh, and let’s get to the heart of the excitement: new freakin’ monsters. Lagiacrus is swimming back, bringing with it the chaos of underwater battles. Ever tried fighting underwater? It’s like wrestling a slippery watermelon. You’ll kick things off by finishing the “A World Turned Upside Down” mission — yeah, good luck with that — and some side gig called Forest Doshaguma. That’s if you’ve hit Hunter Rank 31 or above. I guess they’re making sure you’re no rookie. Anyway!
Seregios is swooping in too, but don’t get too comfortable. Same mission requirements and everything. Get ready for new armor – both for you and your Palico companion. Some high-tier versions of these beasties are out there too, around HR 41 or so.
Now, Uth Duna — remember that guy? An Arch-tempered state of doom awaits in an Event Quest by July 30. Yeah, you’ll need HR 50 and mental prep for a fight of epic proportions. More gear, because why not? But honestly, it’s all about choices at this point.
In the crafting world, we’re finally getting those layered weapons. It’s your look, your way, but with the stats of your favorite weapon. Kind of like customizing a car, but… with more teeth? Fully reinforce those Artian Weapons though, they gotta be at Rarity 8.
Random but worth mentioning: you can switch your main handler from Alma to Erik. And, a backup hunter with a Sword & Shield is at your beck and call now. Handy, huh?
Oh hey, there’s also a festival gig cooking up soon. Festival of Accord: Flamefete, sounds fancy right? From July 23 to August 6, go grab some exclusive goodies and maybe even decorate your camp a bit. Can’t forget to mention that the Grand Hub will be dolled up for the occasion. Even the cantina’s serving some new feasts. I’m kinda curious what they’ll dish out.
Capping this off — oh, pun not intended — Title Update 3 is on the horizon, somewhere in September. More monsters and a new festival round the corner. It’s like they’re hell-bent on keeping us hooked.
Wilds has been riding rough waters lately though. Player numbers tanking, community vibes crashing. Maybe this update’s the lifesaver we’ve been waiting for. Fingers crossed, right?
