Guess what? So, “Once Human” is finally making the leap to PlayStation and Xbox by 2026. Yeah, it’s about time, right? This game, whipped up by those folks over at Starry Studio — which, fun fact, is under the big NetEase umbrella — has been living it up on PC and mobile for a while now. I remember when it first showed up on PC back in July 2024. I mean, whoa, imagine 230,000 players all diving in at once on launch day on Steam. Kinda wild how it made a name for itself, standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Marvel Rivals and Naraka: Bladepoint. Updates? Oh boy, talk about keeping things fresh. They’ve been rolling in to keep players hooked, with around 30K still playing every day. Pretty cool, yeah? And now, with console plans solidifying — it’s like a whole new chapter is opening up.
Now, picture this: during their 2025 Global whatchamacallit Showcase on July 2, the “Once Human” team dropped the big news about landing on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026. They said something about being almost done with the ports and teased some previews and things. Not gonna lie, my brain was busy imagining all the PlayStation and Xbox folks wishlist-ing like there’s no tomorrow. Also, continuing with your same account from PC or mobile on consoles? Sweet deal if you ask me. Though, I guess the PlayStation and Xbox versions might take a bit to catch up with the others… or so they say.
Anyway, get this: NetEase is spreading its wings to embrace console players. It seems like they’re on a mission — already got a hold of mobile users back in April. Oh, and those mobile ratings ain’t too shabby, with Android and iOS sitting pretty at 4.6 and 4.5 out of 5. High hopes for repeating that success on consoles, fingers crossed. In the meantime, players can chew over the fancy Version 2.0 update. There’s all this new stuff, like a class system and some Dreamland Wonder event. Sounds dreamy, right?
